Data Visualizations

Assisted with the visuals in the redesign of the United Airlines Network and Planning team's flight scheduling software, Schedule Quality Metrics. I led research immersion, ideation, information architecture, content strategy and wireframe concepts to help create the data visualizations seen here.

Card behavior

By using cards as a tool, I was able to easily reorder and personalize content based on relevancy. Cards were used to group affiliated content and to help users digest the information in a quick and intuitive way. It created cohesion, order and meaning for the use of cards and allowed for chunking of information. An important factor in evaluating the efficiency of the cards was designed for both mobile and web platforms.

User Activity

The card layout utilized also allowed for the surfacing of content based on relevancy while also allowing users to create a mental model of how cards operate as components. Meaning and function were given to each layer, creating hierarchy and content relationships.

United Ground Express Website Redesign

The website redesign required a vast amount of research, user testing and interviewing to determine the direction of the brand, target specific user personas, and their individual needs and pain points. As such, the website design became a research-heavy project, with all UX and UI decisions backed up by numerous qualitative and quantitative data sourced from user testing, visual content blocking, competitive and comparative analysis, information architecture analysis as well as potential new user and current power user interviews.
